Gamemodes

In total, there are 13 different game modes planned to be implemented into 007: Refraction:

Game mode Map Prefix Description
Deathmatch DM_ General free-for-all.
Team Deathmatch DM_ Team-based deathmatch.
Crazy Deathmatch DM_ Free-for-all with rather "interesting" weapons…
Team Crazy Deathmatch DM_ As above but team-based.
Top Agent DM_ Players have a set amount of lives. Once a player loses all of their lives they are out of the game. If a player "Dominates" another player (kills them three times in a row) they gain a life.
Assassination DM_ One player is the "Assassin," another the "Victim." The assassin must kill the victim to gain points. Every time the victim is killed by the assassin, the assassin gains 5 points; every time the assassin is killed by the victim, the victim gains 3 points. The other players in the game must try to kill the assassin to become a new assassin and gain points.
VIP DMV_* One player is made a VIP. The other players on the team must help escort the VIP to the safezone; the VIP himself has 10hp and 2 clips for a pistol. The opposing team must eliminate the VIP.
Crazy VIP DMV_* Same as above but with the "Crazy" weaponset.
Dual Flag CTF DCF_ Standard capture the flag: each team has one flag and must retrieve and capture the opposing flag. Teams cannot capture if their own flag is missing.
Multi Flag CTF MCF_ Up to 5 flags can be placed on the map; teams have to collect any flag and bring it back to their base.
Co-Op Championship CO_ Players are split into groups (usually of 4) and must work together to solve challenges. One player is "eliminated" in each of the three stages until one person from each group is left, and the final members solve one last challenge or deathmatch to determine the winner.
King of the Hill KH_ Players must stand in the marked area to gain points.
Team King of the Hill KH_ As above but team-based; the more people on the "hill," the faster the team gains points.

*Deathmatch maps that are VIP capable (ie. They contain a func_safezone) should use the prefix DMV_. Normal deathmatch maps that do not have a VIP capability should just be DM_. VIP maps should also use the Info_GameType flag "IsVIPCapable;" see Using Info_GameType
